Bronze and Mottled Gold Dragon Sculpture
This is the first in a new line of "3/4 sculptures." The sculpture stands 8 inches tall, has a 7.5 inches wide, and is approximately 16 inches from nose to tail tip if you follow the curve of the tail. With the curving tail taken into consideration the sculpture occupies a 12 inch "foot print." The eyes are green glass cabochons with a "tiger's eye" appearance and the wings are covered with a variegated gold and green metallic foil leaf.
This sculpture comprises approximately 4,000 individually applied scales made from a little over a full pound of clay.
On the underside of the base is a tag that has been signed and dated by the artist.
